Visa Requirements

Tourist Application form and Data Protection form completely filled and signed by the applicant.
Two recent passport-size photographs (3.5cm x 4.5cm) in color with good resemblance, 60-80% face coverage. Photograph should not be more than 3 months old.
The Passport should be valid for at least six months, beyond the intended duration of stay in the Schengen territory and with at least two blank pages to affix the visa. Passports valid for more than 10 years will not be accepted as the main required travel document.
All the Old Passports.
A Covering Letter from the Applicant introducing himself/herself and stating the purpose, duration and itinerary of the visit in brief on Company’s letter head in original duly signed and stamped.
Overseas Travel Medical Insurance valid across all Schengen countries .The insurance should cover the Applicant for all risks like accidents, illness, and medical-emergency evacuation for an amount of at least 30,000 Euros or equivalent. The policy should clearly specify the period of validity, covering the entire duration of the trip including the date of arrival & departure.
Return return air ticket. People joining a cruise liner in their onward journey should provide the ticket and payment receipt.
Hotel Reservation as per the Stay shown in Air Ticket (GTA Bookings will not be accepted)
Evidence of source of Financial support such as :

Personal Bank statement for last six months in original duly stamped and signed + Copy of updated Personal ITR for last 3 years or Form no. 16 + Salary Slips for last 6 months and Company‘s Business Ownership Proof.
Two Copies of first & last page of the passport to be submitted along with copies of valid and previous US, UK and Schengen Visas.
Applicant could be asked for additional documents or may be called for an Interview if desired by The Embassy of Denmark, New Delhi.
If using the services of a Travel Agent, a Letter addressed to the embassy authorizing the travel agent to submit and collect documents on his behalf, is required from the Applicant.

Color photocopy of the passport (all pages of the passport) for every category is required at the time of submission. Applicants holding valid visa for USA/UK/Canada & Australia even in old passport and any Schengen visa issued in last three years have to submit the color photocopy at the time of submission.

Copy of the Highest Educational Degree of the Applicant.
Copy of Certificate of Incorporation of Indian Company.
Scanned copy of Invitation letter from Denmark Invitee Company on their Official letter head mentioning Applicant’s Details along with the Passport details and stating the purpose, duration and itinerary of the visit in brief duly signed and stamped.
Applicant could be asked for additional documents or may be called for an Interview if desired by The Embassy of Denmark, New Delhi.

Note: – Applicants/Representatives/Travel Agents are hereby notified that w.e.f 01 July 13, color photocopy of the passport (all pages of the passport) for every category is required at the time of submission. Applicants holding valid visa for USA/UK/Canada & Australia even in old passport and any Schengen visa issued in last three years have to submit the color photocopy at the time of submission.

Transit Visa: A transit visa enables the holder to leave the airport in case of a long wait between connecting flights or in cases where an immediatess connection is not available. The following documents must be submitted with the application:

A valid visa for the country of destination (please attach photo copy)

Proof of foreign exchange
An onward journey ticket
Hotel reservation in case of an overnight stay

Transit Visa for Seamen:

A covering letter from the Indian recruiting company stating the applicant’s name and rank, vessel’s name and arrival date at the port in Denmark, date of joining vessel, the name and address of the handling agent in Denmark
Copy of the contract/appointment letter
Confirmation by letter/fax from agent in Denmark
Photocopy of the all the filled out pages of the CDC

Airport Transit Visa:

As a general rule Indian nationals must obtain a visa before travelling in transit through a Danish airport no matter whether changing of aircraft is required or not. An airport transit visa entitles the holder to enter the international transit area of the airport, but not the territory of Denmark. The passport must be endorsed with a valid visa or residence permit for the country of final destination.

However, Indian nationals holding a residence permit in an EU- or an EEA country , USA or Canada are exempt from airport transit visas, if they hold a re-entry permit to the country of residence valid for at least 3 months after expiry of the airport transit.

Furthermore, Indian nationals holding a valid visa to an EU- or an EEA country, Switzerland, USA or Canada are also exempt from airport transit visas.
