Visa Requirements

Tourist An authorized person can submit and collect the documents on behalf of the Applicant. He should have the power of attorney on INR 10/- stamp paper. There is no special format for the authorization letter

The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least six months from the date of application with minimum 2 pages in blank (photocopy of all the used pages and the main page of the passport in which the personal data of the applicant is registered). Copy of the last Colombian Visa, if applicable.
All the Old Passports if any.

Three recent passport-sizes colored photographs (3 X 3 cms) with white background.
A typed personal Covering letter stating the reason and places of travel in Colombia, and names and addresses of contact persons in Colombia (if any).
The above covering letter must be translated into Spanish and originals as well as the translations must be attested by a Notary Public.
Leave letter from the Employee along last 6 months pay slips otherwise Letter on Company‘s letter head along with Business Registration Proof + last 6 months updated Company’s Bank statements in Original with bank seal.
Hotel confirmation.
Return confirmed air ticket.
Proof of financial status like bank statements for the last six months with Bank seal and Income Tax Returns for the last three years.
All cases are referred to Bogotá and processing can take up to 7 days. Once the approval is received the visa can be processed on 3-4 working days.

Note :- All the documents must be submitted in original along with a set of copies.

An original letter of invitation from the inviting Company in Colombia. The letter should be in Spanish language & signed by the legal representative of the Colombia company.
A Letter from the legal representative of the foreign company which promotes the Applicant’s visit to Colombia, showing the post which the applicant for the Business Visa occupies in the organization (which must be at the level of Director, Manager, Executive or legal representative) and the activities of business management which he will be undertaking in Colombia and a statement that the foreign company is responsible for the applicant, during his permanence in Colombia or attaching an incumbency certificate or similar document, depending on the country
An Original, Certificate of Registration of the company in Colombia plus Chamber of Commerce letter from Colombia.
Certificate of Existence of the Company, by a competent authority in India (i.e. Chamber of Commerce or Export Promotion Council).
Proof of financial status like Original Personal bank statements for the last six months and Income Tax Returns for the last three years.
All the documents must be submitted in original along with a set of copies.
Travel itinerary with a gap of 5 working days.

All cases are referred to Bogotá and processing can take up to 7 -8 working days. Once the approval is received the visa can be processed on the same day.

Visa Fee

Visa Processing fee of INR 2850 (Non Refundable) needs to be submitted at any Standard Charterd Bank before submitting the documents at the Embassy. Once the case is approved than Embassy will advise the Visa fee amount which again needs to be submitted in Standard Charterd Bank.
